The body of laws, administrative rulings, and jurisprudence which address the legal rights of, and restrictions on, working people and their organizations.

Description

"The rules of labour law apply to the relationship between those who perform work as employees on another's behalf and the employers of these individuals. Rules which are connected with the creation, organization and effectiveness of legal rules also come under the heading of labour law, i.e. rules on the conclusion of collective agreements, binding effect, the peace obligation and the settlement of disputes. And rules on the courts, health and safety at work and social security for employees are also counted as part of labour law."
