Limited time contract

A contract that ends after a set period of time.

"Limited time contracts typically have a lot of restrictions in regards to in what circumstances they can be renewed and when the position must transition to an indeterminate contract position. Contracts for specific work are simply contracts that end when whatever work you have been hired to do has been completed."
