Temporary work

Work of a limited or unspecified duration that does not permit the worker to gain seniority and has no guarantee of continuation.

Temporary work has the benefit of flexible hours and may give workers an opportunity to gain experience and learn new skills with little risk to employers. The fringe benefits are generally inferior to those guaranteed by permanent work contracts. This type of work can often be found through temp agencies.
