Industrial restructuring

A set of articulated actions undertaken by firms that includes structural change within and across enterprises, as well as interventions of governments, financial intermediaries and support institutions.

The term industrial restructuring is used to refer to this phenomenon for a specific sector or industry (i.e. electric industry restructuring).
