Définition

A market where firms compete freely to retain or increase their market shares and their benefits.

Description

Market where there is ideally no restriction at all on the competitive process that confronts supply and demand.
However, in practice, this confrontation is never perfect, for reasons such as imperfect information. Consequentially, the term "competitive market" refers to a situation of workable competition.
